Gemma Calder Raises money for Breast Cancer
On the 17th May 2008 Gemma participated in the London Moonwalk in aid to raise money for Breast Cancer. With a little help from her mum and sister they trekked across London to the start line in Hyde Park and at 12 midnight they started their 13.5 mile walk around the City. Accompanied by 17,000 other women and 1000 men all dressed up in decorated bras they braved the cold and windy weather and power walked the whole way. The final mile was very hard but being cheered on at the sideline and knowing what an amazing cause they were walking for made every aching bone worth it. They managed to cross the finish line at 3.17am very tired but exhilarated. Thank you to everyone who sponsored and supported them.
